Referrals

A significant proportion of our work is as an ambulatory practice, providing first opinion veterinary services for horses in the practice catchment area which includes Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and the Welsh borders.

However, we also accept surgical and medical referrals from a large number of local and regional practices.

Horse owners seeking a referral for their horse should approach us via their own veterinary surgeon. In line with ethical practice and RCVS guidelines, we require a letter of referral before we can accept the case.

Vets looking to refer a case to us should contact the practice reception in the first instance.

Second opinions

We also act as second opinion vets when appropriate. Horse owners seeking a second opinion should approach their horse’s vet at the same time as they contact us.
